The British Prime Minister lives on Downing Street, but all may not be well. In addition to clashing with politicians, David Cameron may also be clashing with Larry the Cat in charge of keeping Downing Street mice-free.
In Matthew d’Ancona’s new book, In It Together, Matthew claims that Mr. Cameron and his wife Samantha do not like the cat, which was adopted from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The potential for damage to the Prime Minister’s image was not missed by his office. A spokesman issued a statement saying: “Totally untrue. He is very popular with everyone in the building and we all get on purr-fectly well.”
