Many cats like to wander around and eventually come home, but a cat named Sgt. Podge has a more interesting routine. One night, Sgt. Podge disappeared and his owner, Liz Bullard, found him by the roadside 3km (2 miles) away five days later and drove him home.

Every night since then, Sgt. Podge repeats his disappearing act. At precisely 8.30am every day, Mrs Bullard finds Podge at the same spot by Meyrick Park Golf Course, in Bournemouth where she picks him up and drives him home.
