When people travel, they often have to hire a pet sitter to take care of their cats at home. If you can’t find someone to do that, your other option is to board your cat in a kennel. The problem with kennels is that you can only retrieve your cat when the kennel is open.
Now some airports are offering pet boarding facilities directly on airport property. That way you can travel tot he airport, drop off your cat, then pick up your cat any time when you return, 24 hours a day. Although such airport pet boarding facilities may not be everywhere, this trend could catch on and make the lives of cat owners easier no matter what airport they have to use.
