Although many people in Chian eat cats, a growing number of Chinese are treating cats humanely and trying to rescue them. Volunteers in China are catching stray cats, sterilizing them, and releasing them back in the wild so they can thrive without creating an out of control population. While early Chinese efforts are small, they’re gradually growing, relying entirely on donations to support their efforts.

To encourage Asian countries to treat cats humanely, consider donating to a reputable cat rescue organization in Asia. The more people treat cats humanely everywhere, the more everyone can enjoy the benefits of having a cat around to boss you around and take over your house.
