In Yuma, a woman found a cat wandering around the street with its head jammed inside an empty dog food can. After the cat nearly wandered into the street and almost got hit by a car, a woman caught the cat and brought it to the local firefighters, who carefully cut the can off the cat’s head.
“How embarrassing” for the cat, joked Mike Erfert, YFD public information officer. “Bad enough to get your head stuck in a can, but it had to be a can of dog food. His cat card is getting taken away.”
The cat is now safely back on the street without a can stuck on its head any more. The next time you see any animal in trouble, help the animal as best you can. Animals will be thankful for your assistance.
