In Canada, it will soon be illegal for medical marijuana users to grow their own pot. To get rid of their marijuana, Health Canada recommends blending marijuana with water and mixing it with cat litter before tossing it into regular household trash.
“The primary option is to break down the materials, mask the odour and dispose of it in the garbage,” department spokesman Sean Upton said in an emailed response to questions.
Of course, it seems easier to get rid of marijuana just by smoking or eating it rather than dump it in kitty litter. While you’re partaking of marijuana for your health, consider getting some cat nip for your cats so they can experience the effects of marijuana without the risk of breaking any laws.
