If you spend most of your time at home, then you might be the perfect candidate for a strange cat from Thailand known as a Korat. Korats are deceptively thick and heavy, yet surprisingly intelligent. Perhaps the most notable feature of the Korat is that they remain glued to their owners at all times.

Korats will follow you around the house and dislike being left alone for long periods of time, so if you’re going to get a Korat, make sure you stay home a lot or have other animals such as cats or dogs to keep the Korat company. If you leave a Korat alone, it will be extremely unhappy and depressed.

Korats are amazingly friendly (except to strangers) and demand constant attention. In Thailand, where Korats come from, a Korat is actually considered a good luck symbol. If you want good luck and can spend most of your waking hours with a Korat, then you might want to consider adopting a Korat. Then again, consider adopting any cat to rescue it from the streets and provide a loving home for another pet.
