In the computer world, there’s a method of programming that involves two people working together. The idea is that two people can spot flaws and mistakes of the other, so together they would create more reliable computer programs.

As a parody on this idea, someone has come up with the concept of Purr Programming. The idea is the same except when you’re writing a computer program, instead of teaming up with another computer programmer, you team up with an ordinary house cat.

The idea is that a cat has nearly unlimited patience and often enjoys walking across your keyboard when you’re trying to use your computer. When a cat does this, it can often be a sign that you’re about to do something stupid so the cat interrupts you to make you focus and reevaluate your work at that moment.
