In October 2005, Mary and David Dalton lost their cat. Although their cat normally stayed outside, one day it just didn’t come back home. After searching for their cat and checking animal shelters, they were surprised eight years later to get a call that an animal shelter had found their cat Angus.
Someone had found Angus on a country road and took the cat to the animal shelter. Despite being gone for eight years, Angus had actually put on a pound and didn’t look like a cat that had been surviving in the wild the whole time. Most likely, someone had been taking care of Angus, but now Angus is back at home.
