When Vitaliy Bouranin, 32, climbed into his Toyota Land Cruiser to set off on a business trip in Sakhalin, Russia, he travelled over 50 miles at speeds of over 80mph when he decided to stop at a petrol station to fill up. That’s when he heard a meowing coming from inside his car engine.

He poked around under the engine and finally spotted a tuft of fur trapped inside the suspension spring. The local petri station attendant couldn’t get the cat out so the police and fire department arrived. After failing to get the cat out, they decided the only solution was to dismantle the car and free the suspension spring so the cat could get out.

The cat is now safe, but you can click here to read more about this strange tale from Russia.
