Many people hoard cats out of a misguided sense of protection for the felines. However, taking care of so many cats can be nearly impossible, which means the cats suffer health problems from overcrowding. In Las Vegas, a woman hoarded 165 cats but 153 of those cats had to be euthanized due to a variety of reasons including poor health, behavior issues, and medical issues.
Taking care of cats is admirable, but don’t take in more cats than you can care for since the cats will ultimately suffer from neglect. Take ion as many cats as you can take care of and then care for your cats so they can live healthy and happy lives.
