Chancellor George Osborne’s family cat, Freya, was recently clipped by a car near its home. While this is a tragedy, what makes Freya different from most cats is that Freya lives at No 11 Downing Street – the Chancellor’s official residence. For those unfamiliar with Downing Street, it’s the residence of England’s senior government officials.
Fortunately Freya was only “clipped” by a car and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. That’s fortunate for the driver because you don’t want to hurt the cat of a senior British government official.
