If you want to adopt a cat in Wisconsin, you might have to wait a while. At the Wisconsin Humane Society, they recently discovered that some of their cats were infected with Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV), also known as feline distemper, which is a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease that affects cats.

This should alert all cat owners that cats need to be examined and vaccinated from various diseases. If you can prevent a disease from infecting your cat, why would you risk letting your cat get infected and possibly die?
