A man left his cat at his son’s apartment where the cat, named Hope, promptly escaped. Fortunately, he had gotten his cat microchipped so when someone found the cat and the microchip, they contacted Hope’s owner and managed to reunite the two of them once more.
Microchipping is inexpensive and can greatly improve the chances of getting your cat back if it should get lost, even if the cat is later found miles away from its original home. There have been stories of people moving only later to get their cat back due to the microchip. Microchipping people might be going a little too far, but microchipping your cat should be a serious option everyone should consider.
