Aubrey Plaza stars as the voice of Grumpy Cat in her movie “Worst Christmas Ever” where Grumpy has a dejected outlook on life as a result of being passed over repeatedly by families looking to adopt a pet. She’s eventually befriended by a 12-year-old girl, the only human who can understand her.
“I’d heard of Grumpy and was honored that they asked me to do this,” says Plaza, 30. “I just thought, if they trust me with such a beloved Internet sensation, then maybe I should just go for it.”
Being the voice of Grumpy Cat will likely boost any actor’s popularity far more than appearing on a reality TV show like “Dancing with the Stars.” After all, what’s more popular on the Internet? Dancing or cats?
