Firefighters are trained not only to save people, but also pets. In this case, a two-alarm blaze started about 8:15 a.m. in a three-story building in Brooklyn and quickly spread to two adjoining homes. Firefighters put out the blaze but also managed to rescue a cat from the burning building.
Support your local fire department. These brave men and women risk their lives to put out fires and save lives, including any animals trapped inside a burning building. Rescuing pets from burning homes isn’t easy, especially when you consider that most cats are skittish around strangers.
