Cat cafes have skyrocketed in popularity in Asia and now many cat cafes have been opening in North America as well. In case you live in Portland, Oregon, you’ll be happy to know that Purrington’s Cat Lounge will open on January 24. The cats will come from a shelter to allow customers to adopt their favorite kitty if they wish.
If you make a reservation for the “cat lounge,” you can share the cats with up to 20 people at a time. Entry costs $8 per hour, which helps cover the cost of maintaining the cats. If you’re allergic to cats, you an still enjoy the cats through a large window as you snack on pastries and drinks.
