Somewhere in Ohio, drivers have reported seeing a leashed cat sitting on the hood of a moving car. Police Chief Michael Goodwin said, “I wish someone got a picture of the license plate. We could follow up very quickly. It’s a very bizarre case, unclear if it would violate any animal cruelty laws. It’s the public safety of main concern to me. I’ve never seen anything like it in 25 years on the job.”
If anyone sees a cat sitting on a moving car’s hood while driving around Ohio, contact the police so they can check on the cat’s welfare. Most likely the owners feel that this is a good way for their cat to look around the world, but it’s definitely not the safest way to do it.
