So many people love cats that cat cafes have been popping up all over the world. Originally started in Asia, cat cafes have crossed the ocean to Europe and finally to North America where several cat cafes have opened in the United States. Hoping to fund a cat cafe in Washington D.C., 24-year-old Kanchan Singh, who left her management consulting job, launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $15,000 toward opening the cafe.

Singh said the cat cafe will be a foster home for cats from the Washington Humane Society. If the idea of hanging around cats who don’t carer about you sounds better than hanging around politicians who don’t care about you, then you might want to contribute towards Washington D.C.’s first cat cafe.
