Most people think of dogs as service animals because they can be easily trained. However, cats are just as smart as dogs, or even smarter because they let dogs do all the hard work like chasing down criminals or sniffing for bombs while the cats relax somewhere safe and pleasant.

Yet in 1947, Life Magazine did a story on Baby, a Persian cat who worked as a seeing-eye cat. Although Life Magazine did not publish the story, the facts remain that Baby performed admirably, which proves that cats can do anything dogs can do except they prefer not to most of the time.
