Melbourne is the home of Australia’s first cat cafe, but Perth could soon be the home of a new cat cafe for Australians. The Perth cat cafe will likely follow the successful model of the Melbourne cat cafe where patrons and spend an hour-long session in a dedicated “cat area” for $10 and purchase food and beverages separately.
A cat cafe in Sydney, called Catmosphere, used crowd funding to reach its target and is scheduled to open in July. Like Catmosphere, the Perth project will also rely on crowdfunding to get the project off the ground.
