Ann Arbor is home to the University of Michigan and if Miranda Bono has her way, it will also be Michigan’s first cat cafe. Cat cafes continue appearing around the world including many cities in North America.
She wants to find a space that is roughly 2,000 square feet so that there is plenty of room to split the two sides up.
Bono is launching a crowd-funding campaign with a goal $30,000 in addition to asking for outside investment. The plan is to have 10 to 15 cats living at the space while partnering with nearby animal rescue centers to provide the cats. She’ll serve the snacks and drinks and the shelters will serve the cats.
