Cat cafes first swept across Asia and then moved across Europe. Finally, they stormed the last stronghold of the planet, North America. Now Philadelphia may be the next American city to get a cat cafe.

Kristin Eissler hopes to find 1,200 square feet for a cat cafe, which will feature “kitschy” decor and house ten to fifteen adoptable cats at a time. The cafe space will be separated from the cats by a glass partition for optimal cat viewing no matter where you sit.
