In York, Pennsylvania, Opie the cat was laying near three-year-old Daemire Sipe when a gunman fired a bullet that went through the window of the home. Amazingly, the bullet landed just inches away from Daimire’s head. If Opie hadn’t deflected the bullet slightly, the bullet might have hit the toddler.
Angelica, Daemire’s mother, said the bullet “came in the top of his head, out the bottom of his neck, and back into his shoulder and out his armpit rib area.” Not surprisingly, Angelica is calling Opie her hero for saving her son’s life.
