Iris Grace is a 5-year old with autism. Despite this, she paints beautiful pictures and has a Maine Coon as her constant companion. Thula, Iris’s cat, helps keep Iris calm and encourages her to be more sociable with others.
If a cat can help a little girl get through life, think of what a cat can do to help anyone else as well. While Thula may be considered a therapy cat, caring for any cat will likely bring anyone out of their shell and make them feel less alone in this world.
