If you saw the last movie in “The Hunger Games” series, you’ll be pleased to know that not only does the hero, Katniss, survive, but so does her sister’s cat as well. Known as Buttercup, this cat initially disliked Katniss (and Katniss disliked her) but eventually Katniss comes around to hugging Buttercup in the end.
Buttercup is a mangy cat that Katniss initially didn’t want to care for because it meant providing food for one more mouth. If you watch the first “Hunger Games” movie, you’ll notice that Buttercup appears as a black and white cat, but in later sequels, Buttercup appears as a ginger cat as described in the book.
