Everyone knows that pets can make you happier and reduce stress. However for many seniors, caring for a pet can be troublesome. That’s why Hasbro now markets a new line of robotic cats for seniors called “Joy for All” pets.
Hasbro says, “Companion Pets respond to petting, hugging and motion much like the cats you know and love. This two-way give-and-take helps create a personally rich experience that can bring fun, joy and friendship to you and your loved ones ages 5 to 105.”
The toys are made with built-in sensors that respond to motion and touch. The cats also mimics real purring, complete with slight vibrations. What these robot cats won’t do is claw your furniture, spray on the carpet, and scratch your arm every time you try to pet it, so the cat emulation is still not perfect.
