Iowa is mostly known for corn and picking Presidential candidates early in their campaigns. Now Iowa may soon be known as the state with the most cat hoarders.
Barb Dunakey with the Waverly Pet Rescue recently took in more than 40 cats from a single home and says this happens way more than people think.
“Cats are very quiet, if someone had 50 dogs in one place, people would hear that. Cats are quiet and no one would know they’re even in the house,” said Dunakey.
