Sarah Ann Stevens was driving from Chewelah to Spokane, Washington, when she stopped at a Costco. That’s when she heard a loud thump and a meow coming from the hood of her car. Once she opened the hood, she saw what was making the noise — a cat.
With the help of some Costco employees and a passerby, Stevens managed to get the cat safely out of the engine. Surprisingly, the cat immediately curled up in her arms once it was free of the engine. The next time you drive somewhere and hear a strange noise coming from the engine, it might not be a malfunction at all but a cat.
