Fourteen years ago, Christina Bartha and her husband adopted a cat that they named Goose. For eight years, Goose was a member of their family until the family decided to move to a new house a block away. That’s when Goose inexplicably disappeared in 2010.

For six years, Christina thought that Goose had been lost for good. That’s when someone rescued a scrawny cat and took it to the veterinarian where a tattoo on his ear helped identify him as Goose.

Now Goose is back at home with the family he left six years ago. He may not live much longer, but at least he can spend his remaining years with the family that adopted him in the first place.
