Bagel the cat has an eye problem. Specifically, Bagel was born without eyelids. Despite three surgeries to correct this problem, Bagel still needs protection for her eyes. That’s when owner, Karen McGill in Los Angeles, California, decided to try giving Bagel sunglasses.
Surprisingly, Bagel has learned to associate sunglasses with comfort and protection. Now Bagel goes everywhere with her sunglasses and has become an Internet sensation in the process. Karen McGill now hopes that Bagel’s popularity will inspire more people to adopt cats with special needs.
