When Clive the Norwegian Forest Cat disappeared 16 months ago, his family was resigned that he was gone forever. “Obviously we thought [he’d] gone and that was it,” owner Tayna Irons said.

Yet at a nearby Kennelgate Pet Superstores warehouse, employees noticed something was strangely setting off the alarms. With the help of a cat trap, the company caught Clive and, after a microchip scan, soon reunited him with his family.

“I can’t believe he’s so porky,” Irons said. “He was 9-months-old when we lost him, he was a lot smaller! He’s so big and fluffy now.”
