For April Fool’s Day, the staff at Serpukhov Museum of History and Art’s in Russia decided to write a job application for the ginger feline thinking it would be a good laugh. The amused staff then sent the following application off to local news stations: “As I am a direct relative of Maraeva, I ask you to give me a job in your museum. Maray The Cat.”

When the public responded favorably to the idea of a cat working at the museum, the museum decided to hire the cat for real. Now Maray the Cat greets visitors when they arrive and lets them take pictures of him.
