When Boots the cat got stuck in a tree, Susie Butler immediately tried to get help. The fire brigade wouldn’t help after Boots had been stuck for 12 hours, she called on the power of Facebook, and crowdfunding, to raise $205 to get an animal rescuer.
Four hours after posting the crowdfunding notice, Susie had enough money to pay for an animal rescuer. When he heard about the crowd funding effort, the animal rescuer, Nigel Williamson, knocked $20 off his fee and rescued Boots.
