When the wildfire near Fort McMurray got out of control, everyone had to evacuate their homes and flee to safer ground. Unfortunately, that meant some people had to leave behind their pets.
However, when firefighters went back to investigate the burnt out homes, they discovered a cat hidden in a stove. The firefighters speculate that the flames blew out the glass in the stove door, allowing the cat to climb inside and escape the burning fires around it. The cats have been reunited with their owner.
