Normally when cats go missing, the original owners may never find it again unless it’s been microchipped. Even then, many cats find good homes somewhere else. However, one cat disappeared in 2013 from an Illinois neighborhood. Amazingly, the cat was found two years later – living in another house one block away.
Now Joey the cat is in the middle of a custody battle. The original owners want Joey back but the new owners want to keep Joey for themselves. Both parties have hired lawyers to seek custody of the cat.
