At a local shrine in Japan, worshippers kneel and bow as part of their religious ceremony. Perhaps knowing this, a cat decided to snooze on a box in front of the shrine. That way visitors would look like they were bowing and worshipping the cat.
The box that the cat sprawled across was meant to collect money. While the cat put a stop to that, people were still free to give money directly to the cat itself.
