When Bill Murray, Leslie Jones (of the coming “Ghostbusters,” out July 15), Cecily Strong and Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller showed up at a Hilarity for Charity event, they expected to see other celebrities. What they didn’t expect to see was a robotic cat on every table.
“Wow, there’s one on every table,” said Ms. Strong, who didn’t think her rescue dog Lucy would appreciate a new robot cat. “Though it would take her a while for her to realize she was more powerful.”
Donated by Hasbro, the robotic cats are meant to give people the benefits of a cat without the drawbacks of vet bills, shredded curtains, or smelly litter boxes.
