One hazard with getting a cat is cleaning up after it vomits. While most animals only vomit when they’re sick, cats tend to throw up regularly so when it happens, don’t be alarmed since your cat might not be sick but might just be normal.

One reason cats vomit is because they’re coughing up a hairball. Another common reason is because cats either eat too fast or are eating food that doesn’t agree with them. When humans eat food that doesn’t agree with them, they normally stop eating it but cats don’t have that choice so they may eat food and then throw up afterwards, usually on an expensive rug just to show you who’s boss.
