For the longest time, the stereotype has been that only women like cats, which makes little sense because if women don’t like guys who sit around, do nothing all day, and demand to be waited on, why would women want to buy a pet that makes those same demands on them everyday?
Men should naturally gravitate towards cats because both men and cats enjoy sleeping all day and getting nothing important done while someone else caters to their needs. While dogs often create an aura of protection, cats create an aura of relaxation and care-free attitude.
Perhaps as more men understand that cats and males are similar, more men will adopt cats. Then couples can start fighting over who loves cats more, men or women.
