If cats like mice so much, how come cat food doesn’t come in rodent flavors like rat and mouse? The answer is simple. Cat food companies market to people because people buy cat food.

If cats bought their own cat food, cat food manufacturers would sell rodents-flavored cat food, pigeon-flavored treats, and toilet water drinks. Cat food manufacturers also use scraps from slaughterhouses to turn beef, pork, fish, and chicken scraps into useful products rather than throwing them away.

So that’s why cat food doesn’t come in mouse flavors. Nobody wants to open a can of cat food and dish out chunks of rodent flesh. Of course, your cat doesn’t care. As long as it can eat, most cats are content just to shed on your furniture and sleep all day anyway.
