Just as people can get depressed through emotional or physical problems, so can cats get depressed as well. Most often cats get depressed when they fail to bend their owners to their will, but sometimes cats can seem depressed because they’re suffering from pain that they can’t tell their owners about.

One way to reduce depression in a cat is to reduce the stress in the cat’s life. Perhaps you’re expecting the cat to behave. Shame on you. That’s putting too much stress on the cat, so stop it. By removing all sources of stress from the cat’s life, you can help reduce or remove depression altogether. Now you’ll just have to worry about your own depression being bossed around by a furry feline all the time.
