Marie Goddard owned a ginger tom named Whiskey who wandered away from home eleven years ago. All that time, Marie thought that Whiskey must have died.

As it turns out, an elderly man nearby found Whiskey and adopted him. When this man became ill and could no longer care for Whiskey, he took him to welfare charity Cats Protection to be rehomed.

That’s when staff members discovered Whiskey’s microchip that led him back to Marie. Through the miracle of microchips, another cat has been reunited with its original owner, so make sure you get your cat microchipped just in case you ever lose your cat.
