Mango the cat greets customers in the Tesco Tiverton foyer. As a result of his position, he currently boasts more than 18,000 likes on his Facebook page and has been featured in the national, and global press.
Now artist Rob Martin has decided to immortalize Mango the cat by painting his portrait. Amazingly, this painting is estimated to be worth £90,000. If a painting of a cat can be worth so much, how much more valuable is the actual cat itself? You can’t put a price on a cat because every cat is unique, much like art. In fact, cats could be considered walking embodiments of art itself, at least in the cat’s mind.
