Japan helped bring cat cafes to Asia and the rest of the world. Now Japan is taking the lead again by letting cats roam freely on trains.

A Japanese civic group teamed up with the train company to allow 30 cats to roam on a local train, hoping to raise awareness of stray cats. Perhaps if cat trains become popular, Japan can help the rest of the world adopt cats in all forms of mass transit including trains, buses, planes, and subways.

The more people learn about the need for finding stray cats a good home, the better off people and cats will be.
