Like most universities, North Carolina State University offers student housing that typically bans pets. However, disabled student Laura Auman asked to keep her support cat with her in student housing.

Initially the school denied her request, but after Legal Aid of North Carolina filed a federal discrimination complaint against NCSU, the school changed its mind. Now Laura can keep her support cat with her in student housing so she won’t get stressed out without her cat by her side.
