Most five-year old boys like dressing up as superheroes for Halloween and Shon Griffin is no exception. The only difference is that Shon likes dressing up as different superheroes as he helps his two aunts help care for homeless cats in his neighborhood in Philadelphia.

“As soon as Shon showed up,” said his aunt Kia Griffin, “that cat came right over and started rubbing against his legs. This was a cat that we couldn’t even look at for two years without him running away from us. Because of Shon, we were finally able to take Bug to get neutered, then bring him back to his little colony. Shon simply has a magic touch with cats.”

If a little boy can be a superhero to homeless cats, imagine what the rest of us could do to help homeless cats live a safer, happier life as well.
