New Year’s Eve is usually a time of celebration, but it can be a time of terror for many cats because of loud noises, strange people walking around, and fireworks exploding in the air. With such a cacophony of noises and sights to deal with, it’s understandable that many cats will hide in fear.

To help your cats deal with the festivities of New Year’s Eve, provide a safe place for your cat to hide whether your cat is indoors or outdoors. This safe place should be somewhere the cat can easily hide in without worrying about other people or animals scaring it. Keep your cat away from loud noises and bright lights. If you can make it thorough another New Year’s Eve, then your cat can do it too.
