Wildfires recently ravaged Southern California. First responders such as firefighters and police helped battle the blaze and evacuate people and animals. While patrolling an area hit by fires north of San Diego, sheriff deputies came across a box of kittens.

The deputies quickly gathered the kittens and moved them out of harm’s way. The kittens have already been placed in a foster home and will likely live a long and happy life, thanks to the watchful eye of San Diego’s sheriff deputies.
