A woman driving northbound on U.S. Highway 287 got into an accident and crashed into a guardrail when she was distracted by her cat that was in the car with her. Fortunately, this woman was not injured (and the cat was unhurt as well), but her accident caused a semi-trailer behind her to crash into the guardrail as well.
The lesson is simple. If you’re driving with a cat, keep the cat secure in a carrier of some kind. The last thing you need is for your cat to jump in front of your vision of the road or claw your arm while you’re trying to steer down a busy highway.
Everyone knows that cats are nuisances in the home, so they’ll be doubly so inside a moving car. To read more about the woman who crashed because of her cat, click here.
